Wednesday
A weakening areas of low pressure will track across Scotland, whilst a developing ridge transfers across N.Ireland to Southern England. Cloudy for Scotland during the morning with rain prolonged and often heavy through the morning, temperatures 4 to 7degC and light and variable winds. For England and Wales generally cloudy for Northeast England with scattered showers and cool temperatures 7 to 9degC. Wales, Southwest, Midlands, South and Southeast England mainly dry with sunny spells and variable cloud though cool with a moderate breeze, temperatures 9 to 11degC.

Wednesday Night
Showers continuing into mid-evening through eastern Scotland and remaining generally cloudy overnight. Cloudy for the rest of Scotland and N.Ireland, temperatures 1 to 4degC with a ground and patchy air frost for Scotland. Cloudy overnight for remainder of England and Wales temperatures 3 to 5degC and light winds. Winds will strengthen across South Wale and Southwest England overnight as a developing depression approaches from the Southwest pushing rain int Cornwall, Devon to Wiltshire and across Dyfed to Glamorgan.

Thursday
A depression tracks across from South Wales during the morning, Warwickshire to Hampshire early afternoon to Suffolk and Kent late afternoon. Areas of rain will become prolonged within the circulation, winds will freshen from the Southeast ahead of the depression veering West to Northwest by evening as rain clears. A cool day temperatures 6 to 8degC generally. Away from the rain, sunny spells and showers for N.Ireland, scattered into Cumbria,Clwyd and Cheshire temperatures 5 to 7degC with a fresh Northwest wind. Scattered showers also for Tayside.

Friday
Cloudy in Southeast Scotland to Humberside with a mix of rain and showers clearing during the morning, cool temperatures 7 to 9degC with a fresh North to Northeast wind. Scattered showers for North Wales and Suffolk to Kent during the afternoon. Elsewhere for England dry with sunny periods. Feeling cool with an onshore wind where showers occur temperatures 7 to 9degC. A sunny afteroon for Midlands and Soutern England, temperatures 8-10degC. Dry and mainly clear evening and night with fog forming for Midlands and Eatsern England. temperatures 3-5degC.
