Showers in west
Rain in Scotland

Tuesday
Low pressure remains in control of conditions through Tuesday. A westerly wind will be bringing some showers through the far southern coasts of England and perhaps into the southeast, a few of these heavy. Further showers over western coasts and hills with more persistent showery rain in Ireland. Rain in central and western Scotland as well as the south continuing through the day and bringing a further risk of localised flooding. Some sleet over the Highlands and Grampians. Heavy showers too affecting northern England. More central and eastern areas of England should be drier and brighter with just an isolated shower although the far northeast of England may see outbreaks of rain. Highs at 7 to 12C, cooler in central Scotland at 3C.


Tuesday Night
A wet night in much of Scotland with a risk of sleet and snow over the Highlands and Grampians. Further heavy showers for northwest England. Scattered showers affecting western Wales. Drier in other areas with some broken cloud and clear spells. Overnight lows at 0C in central Scotland but more widely 4 to 8C.
 


Wednesday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds on Wednesday. This will be bringing a bright and mostly dry day to England, Wales and Ireland. Good spells of sunshine developing in most areas. A few showers could affecting northwest England, especially in the morning, but these tend to fade in the afternoon. Outbreaks of rain continue in Scotland as weka fronts remains here. Drier in the far north of Scotland. Highs at 7 to 12C.


Thursday
Rain passing through Scotland, Ireland and northern England on Thursday. Some rain too arriving in the west of Wales. Probably drier for central, southern and eastern England, sunny spells here as well. It may be that brighter skies arrive in Ireland later in the day too. Highs near 8 to 11C.
