Monday
Fresh westerly winds bring showery conditions to western regions of Britain and Ireland, some heavy bursts near to western coasts with possible hail and isolated thunder. Showery through the English Channel too. Local showers further inland over northwest England. Often dry with broken cloud and some sunny spells across the Midlands, east and southeastern England and eastern Scotland. Cloudier toward the west. Feeling cool in the breeze. Highs of 9C in the north, and 12C in the south.

Monday night
Showers remain frequent for western areas, especially near to windward coasts. Some rain may push further into northern Scotland too. Largely dry for central, south and eastern districts. Bands of showers over the English Channel may graze southern coasts and continue to affect the Channel Islands. A moderate to fresh breeze will prevent frost for most places, but calmer spots for central and eastern Scotland may drop chillier with some fog patches. Lows 2 to 6C.

Tuesday
A weak area of low pressure will be over the North Sea whilst pressure builds briefly from the west. Cool northwesterly breezes. A few showers coming inland from western coasts in the morning but tending to fade. Local showers grazing eastern coasts too for a time. Broken cloud and sunny spells, best in central and eastern areas. Ireland generally dry with good amounts of sun but cloud builds in the west ahead of more rain arriving by late evening. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Wednesday
A front passing eastwards brings several hours of persistent rain to all areas. Heaviest in western areas in the morning. A dry start in East Anglia before rain soon develops. Brightening up for Wales by the middle of the day. Drier conditions extending eastwards across the Midlands and southern England through the afternoon. Thundery showers in western Scotland and Ireland. A few showers in the southwest. Brisk west to southwest winds. Highs up to 13C southeast, but 7 to 10C for most.
