Sunday 02/10/16
A ridge of high pressure builds across Britain & Ireland, bringing a fair day for many, with a good amount of sunshine. A few showers may affect East Anglia in the morning. Fronts approaching from the Atlantic bring rain to Ireland into the night. Mostly light winds, but breezy at first in the east, and freshening later in west. Starting chilly - a slight frost possible in rural northern areas. Highs 14 to 18C.

Monday 03/10/16
High pressure to the east maintains fair weather for England, Wales & eastern Scotland. Plenty of sunshine in the south & east. Thicker cloud in the west, and slow-moving fronts over Ireland and western Scotland bring a threat of persistent heavy rain. A brisk southerly breeze, strongest in the west. Generally mild or warm, highest temperatures in the south-east, 14 to 19C.

Tuesday 04/10/16
A continued southerly pattern. Fronts are likely to remain across the far west & north-west, edging slowly towards Irish Sea coasts of England & Wales, bringing intermittent rain. Some heavy rain for Ireland and Scotland. Meanwhile, central, southern & eastern Britain stay dry and quite warm. Best sunshine toward the east. Temperatures ranging from 14 to 17C west & north, to 18 to 21C south & east.

Wednesday 05/10/16
Low pressure is likely to pull away northwards. Fronts trailing back across Scotland and northern England may bring rain and gusty winds for a time. Southern regions most likely staying dry and warm. Highs 15 to 18C north, 19 to 22C south.

Thursday 06/10/16
High pressure likely centred over Scandinavia promotes a warm southerly pattern across the British Isles. Fair weather for many. Low pressure over the Atlantic may bring wind and rain to the north-west. Generally warm, 15 to 21C.

Friday 07/10/16
Dry and warm weather may continue for many, although fronts toward the north-west threaten some rain in Scotland & Northern Ireland. Highs 14 to 19C.
