Thursday 29/09/16
Low pressure to the north. A weakening cold front passes south-east across Britain, bringing bursts of rain to central & southern areas, but amounts should be small. Occasional sun. Frequent showery rain in the north-west, the rain may become prolonged in western Scotland. Breezy for all, south-westerlies, strongest winds in the north, risk of gales in exposure around northern Scotland. Temperatures 14 to 16C north, up to 18 to 21C south.

Friday 30/09/16
A westerly pattern continues. Low pressure is likely to drift east toward Scandinavia, although further fronts may approach from the Atlantic. Showery in the north & west. Occasional showers in central & southern areas, but often dry toward the east, with some sunshine. Breezy in the north, lighter winds south. A fresh feeling day for all, highs 13 to 16C north, 17 to 19C south.

Saturday 01/10/16
Detail is uncertain, but low pressure over the Atlantic is likely to drift toward Britain, bringing a risk of rain, mostly toward the west & north-west, which may set in for many hours. Occasional rain drifting east across the Midlands, but drier toward the east & south-east. Windy in the west. Top temperatures 14 to 18C.

Sunday 02/10/16

Monday 03/10/16
Slow moving fronts threaten the west & north, bringing a risk of persistent rain. High pressure to the south-east brings a warm southerly pattern across central & southern areas. Temperatures ranging from 13 to 16C north, to 18 to 21C south.

Tuesday 04/10/16
A continued warm south to south-westerly pattern is likely. Fronts may continue to bring rain to the west of Britain, also Ireland, turning heavy at times. Dry with sunshine in the east. Highs 14 to 22C, perhaps warmer south-east.
