Fresher later in the week and more unsettled
Some very warm weather over the next couple of days and feeling increasingly humid too. Increasingly unsettled and fresher into the final part of the week and the weekend with the threat of some heavy periods of rain in northern and western areas. Winds to gale force at times here. Next week is indicated at becoming more settled once again as higher pressure builds.

Thursday 8/9/16 A deeper area of low pressure is expected to be crossing Scotland on Thursday. This brings an area of strong winds, gales in the west with some heavy periods of rain too. Not much rain for eastern and southern England and Wales with some bright or sunny spells here. Showery bursts of rain affecting the coasts of Wales and southwest England. Highs at 16 to 22C so feeling fresher for all.
Friday 9/9/16 Low pressure is to the north and west of the country on Friday with a southwesterly flow affecting all. A ridge of high pressure in the far south. Temperatures slipping but are still above average, with outbreaks of rain in western Scotland and western Ireland. Mostly dry across other areas with sunnier spells, but some scattered showers in central and southern England. Highs of 16 to 22C.
Saturday 10/9/16 A more active front arriving in western parts of the UK and over Ireland on Saturday. This is going to be bringing some heavy periods of rain here. More eastern parts of England are likely to be drier, although some showery rain may arrive later. Temperatures at 15 to 22C.
Sunday 11/9/16 Fronts pass east into Sunday taking showery outbreaks of rain with it. Further fronts pushing into Ireland and Scotland on Sunday giving wind and rain for much of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and western England. A ridge of higher pressure giving dry weather and sunny spells in eastern and southern England. Tops at 16 to 22C.
Monday 12/9/16 Higher pressure over the southern half of the UK and Ireland on Monday, lower pressure to the north. A weakening front bringing some showery bursts of rain through Scotland and Ireland. England and Wales are likely to be staying dry with spells of sunshine. Highs at 16 to 24C.
Tuesday 13/9/16 Hints of high pressure settled over the country on Tuesday. This brings a mostly fair day with cloud breaking and some decent spells of sunshine for most. Temperatures at 17 to 24C.
