Cooler in the north

This upcoming week will be dominated by a series of low pressure and weather fronts which will bring in periods of rain and showers to most areas. Temperatures will be above normal across southern parts of England with a few warm days ahead.

A wet morning across Britain. The rain clears soon clears East Anglia and the south east by early afternoon. Fine and mainly dry for most with sunnier spells. Temperatures near to slightly above normal. Expect high temperatures of 14 to 20C.

Wednesday 28/09/16
Persistent rain is expected across Northern Ireland and Scotland with patchy rain and drizzle near western coasts. A windy day with gales in the far north of Scotland with a risk of severe gales across the Northern Isles. Warmer, fair and dry elsewhere, best of the sun across south east England. Highs of 16 to 23C.

Rain is expected across England and Wales through the day and quite windy as well. Showers to come for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Windy and cooler in the north. Rain and showers clear by evening ahead of a dry night. Highs of 13 to 20C.

Scattered showers may affect western Scotland, otherwise it's a fine dry day across Britain with good spells of sunshine. Normal temperatures expected but chilly in the north. Highs of 13 to 18C.

Confidence is low but we may see an area of heavy rain spreading in across central and southern England with showers in the north and the west. Highs of 12 to 20C.

Sunday 02/10/16
Breezy and fresher with an area of rain across eastern parts of Britain clearing away during the afternoon. Showers will affect western coasts and The Midlands otherwise fair and dry. Expect highs of 12 to 18C.
