Cooler in the north

Low pressure areas and fronts will affect the country bringing in spells of rain. Pressure builds in towards the south around mid week with southern areas mainly dry. Temperatures will be cooler in the north but close to average while they should be generally above normal in the south.

Persistent rain and gusty winds are expected across northern Scotland. Warmer, fair and dry elsewhere, best of the sun across the southern half of England. Warmer with above normal temperatures. Expect high temperatures of 16 to 21C.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle are expected across northern and western areas - dry in the south and east with sunny spells. Fair and dry for the evening. Rain runs in across northern Scotland in the night. Highs of 14 to 21C.

Scattered showers may affect western Scotland and Northern Ireland, otherwise it's a fine dry day across Britain with good spells of sunshine. Much of Britain should be dry for the evening and night. Highs of 14 to 18C.

Occasional showers to come across Scotland and western coasts. A fine dry day across the south with mostly sunny skies. Cooler in the north with near average temperatures in the south. Rain may affect the far south in the night. Highs of 12 to 18C.

A number of showers may affect Britain, interspersed with a good deal of dry, sunnier weather. Persistent rain may reach the south and Wales by evening. Cooler. A damp night for most areas. Highs of 12 to 16C.

Monday 03/10/16
An area of rain clears from eastern parts of England in the morning. Showers to affect north west Scotland. Fair and dry for the rest of Britain with sunny spells. Expect highs of 14 to 18C.
