Unsettled next week with wind and rain, cooler too

Sunday 25/9/16
Low pressure is expected ot be to the north of Scotland on Sunday. A front in eastern parts will be producing rain at first although this will be clearing eastwards. Broken cloud and showers then follow from the west. There will be bright or sunny spells between the showers, although always plenty of cloud affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 15 to 19C.

Monday 26/9/16
A ridge of high pressure builds overnight into Monday bringing a cooler and brighter morning. The day is then fair for many with some spells of sunshine developing. However, low pressure pushes more fronts into the west of Ireland with rain arriving here through the day. Broken cloud elsewhere. Temperatures rising to 15 to 19C.

Tuesday 27/9/16
Hints of more unsettled conditions developing through Tuesday. Low pressure could pass north of Sotland pushing fronts eastwards and bringing rain and cloud with it to many parts of the country. Probably drier in the far southeast. A breezy day. Highs near 13 to 17C but perhaps 19C in sheltered eastern areas where any brightness occurs.

Wednesday 28/9/16
A cooler day on Wednesday as the flow turns to a more west to northwesterly. This is going to be giving a mix of sunshine and showers. Most of the showers in the north and west, but just about everywhere is at risk. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Thursday 29/9/16
A cool day with low pressure to the east and higher pressure to the west. There will be some further showers in northern and eastern areas, with the west and south tending to be drier and brighter. Highs at 10 to 15C.

Friday 30/10/16
A weak ridge of high pressure may build on Friday bringing sunny spells and dry weather. Rain arriving in the west later in the day with temperatures at 12 to 17C.
