Saturday 3/9/16 A ridge of high pressure brings a dry and bright start to Saturday for most. The best of the sunshine in eastern and southern areas and feeling warm here too. An area of low pressure west of Ireland will be pushing cloud and rain eastwards, the rain becoming heavy at times in Ireland, reaching much of Scotland, Wales, northern and western England through the afternoon. Tops at 16 to 23C.
Sunday 4/9/16 Low pressure is expected to be moving through Scotland on Sunday. This brings cloud and rain at first in more northern and eastern parts of the country. Brighter weather follows fro the west as a ridge of high pressure builds, although it will not be long before fronts bring cloud and rain into Ireland and the far southwest of England. Temperatures at 15 to 22C.
Monday 5/9/16 A deeper area of low pressure to the west of Scotland on Monday. A moist southwest flow affecting much of the UK and Ireland with fronts moving eastwards. These bring cloud and some outbreaks of light rain or drizzle, most in the west. The rain fades through the afternoon with brighter weather arriving in more northern and western areas with spells of sunshine developing. Gales in western Scotland and the coasts of Northern Ireland. Temperatures at 16 to 24C.
Tuesday 6/9/16 Higher pressure is likely to be building on Tuesday. A front in the west may bring some thundery rain for a time over Ireland and the west of the UK, although this probably fading. The best sunshine in the east and south where it will be feeling warm. Temperatures at 16 to 26C.
Wednesday 7/9/16 High pressure remains over central and eastern areas on Wednesday. Thundery showers may again affect western areas for a time, but as on Tuesday, these may well fade during the day. Very warm in the east and south. Highs at 28C in southeast England, a fresher 18C in Scotland.
