Windy at times in the north

Low pressure is expected to be in charge of the weather for much of the week. This week looks more unsettled for many with spells of rain and showers. Some drier days too will be found. Temperatures are expected to be closer to normal but a bit above normal in the south.

Monday 19/09/16
Overall expect a rather cloudy day. Some patchy bits of rain to affect England. This turns more to scattered showers for the afternoon. Mostly fair and dry across Scotland and Northern Ireland. All parts should be dry in the night. Expect high temperatures of 14 to 18C.

Tuesday 20/09/16
Much of Scotland should be dry until evening. A number of showers develop across England and Wales. More persistent rain spreads in across Northern Ireland. Highs of 14 to 18C.

 
 
 

Wednesday 21/09/16
Warmer in the south today. A dry morning for most with sunnier spells. Rain across Northern Ireland in the morning reaches Scotland in the afternoon with a few showers for Wales. Generally wet across much off Britain in the night. Highs of 15 to 20C.

 
 
 

Thursday 22/09/16
A few showers and sunny spells to come for Scotland and Northern Ireland. An area of moderate to heavy rain will be slowly moving south across England and Wales. Highs of 13 to 20C.

 
 
 

Friday 23/09/16
Fine and dry with sunny spells across the country in the morning. Outbreaks of rain spread in across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland with the rest of Britain to remain dry. Highs of 14 to 18C.

Saturday 24/09/16
Windy with rain running in across the northern half of the United Kingdom. Central and southern parts of England appear dry but increasingly cloudy. Gales may affect the north west. Expect highs of 16 to 21C.
