Staying mixed with rain and showers at times, feeling warm
The mixed weather continues through the coming week with low pressure areas bringing periods of rain and showers. There will be some drier days though and overall it is likely to be mild or warm. No signs of any prolonged dry spells.

Thursday 18/7/24 Fronts affecting Scotland, Ireland and the west of Wales and England on Thursday. Periods of rain, most through Ireland, north and western Scotland, some of it heavy over western slopes. Cloudier western coasts of Wales and England with some drizzle here. Brighter in central and southern England although evening here there will be plenty of cloud. Cloud shrouding hills and coasts in the west too. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 19C in eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland, 14C in northwest Scotland.
Friday 19/7/24 Low pressure west of Scotland on Friday. Cloud and rain affecting much of western Ireland and western Scotland, some of it heavy. Eastern Scotland, England and Wales will be dry overall with sunny spells. The best sunshine in central, eastern and southern areas too. Highs at 13C in northwest Scotland, widely 22 to 25C but 28C in southeast England.
Saturday 20/7/24 Rain in northern and western areas on Saturday as fronts drift into the country. Sunny spells and showers in Scotland, Brighter and drier in southern England. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.
Sunday 21/7/24 Rain is likely in southern England on Sunday as fronts extend through the Channel. Brighter away from the south with sunny spells, although some showers affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 22C in the southeast, 16 to 19C elsewhere.
Monday 22/7/24 A mixed day of cloud and showery periods of rain. Most of the rain in northern and western areas, but a few bright or sunny spells too. Highs at 16 to 23C.
Tuesday 23/7/24 A risk of some showery rain in England and Wales on Tuesday, clearing south. Brighter weather follows from the north and west bringing sunny spells and occasional showers. Highs at 17 to 23C.
