Firstly wet, becoming warmer and dry toward and during the weekend
After a frontal system passge on Thursday, high pressue building up across most of the British Isles with better summer weather in the outlook this week. Dry for most on weekend and beginning of next week, showers here and there on other days. Possibly more often wet from next Tuesday onward.

Thursday 25/7/24 Rain spills eastwards during the day, most prolonged over western hills, perhaps heavy in in the south. Beginning early morning along the western coast, rain may be heavy from start in Wales and Cornwall. A dry start for east and southeast England, but rain will arrive here during the daytime, some heavier showery bursts mixed in through southern counties in the afternoon. Frequent rain with large amounts also or western Scotland, more showery in central and eastern Scotland. Rain clearing to scattered showers for Ireland. Generally cloudy skies, some late brightness in the west. West to southwest breezes. Highs 15C in western Scotland, 17 to 20C through most of England and Wales, to 22C in the southeast and locally in Ireland.
Friday 26/7/24 Showery rain for Ireland and western Scotland, for others only a few scattered showers but a good deal of dry weather during the day. Sunny spells and variable cloud, best sunshine in the east from London through East Midlands to Hull. Light westerly breezes. Pleasantly warm, highs 18 to 25C, warmest in the southeast.
Saturday 27/7/24 High pressure to the southwest building for the weekend. Showers remain in Ireland, generally by the western coast and toward northeast, but dry conditions for most especially in the south. Light west to northwesterly breezes. Highs 17 to 22C.
Sunday 28/7/24 A fine and warm day under high pressure. Plenty of sunshine, some broken cloud forming. Small chance of isolated late afternoon showers. Light winds and sea breezes. Highs 18 to 25C.
Monday 29/7/24 Fine weather is likely to continue in most of Britain and Ireland with high pressure in charge. Southwesterly breezes may bring a little rain toward Wales and western England. Breezy in the south. Highs 17 to 25C.
Tuesday 30/7/24 With a low passing east of Britain showery in Ireland, Scotland Wales and probably western England. Chance for a dry day from Yorkshire to East Anglia. Bright spells mixed with overcast periods. Windy. Most sunshine in the east. Highs widely between 17 and 23C.
