Unsettled with showers and rain, a few drier days
An unsettled week ahead with low pressure bringing bands of showers and rain. The showers will be heavy at times, mostly in the north and west. Temperatures are probably around average for the time of year. There will also be one or two drier days.

Thursday 11/7/24 Low pressure close to the south coast brings cloud and rain here, particularly in the afternoon. Broken cloud across central and northern England, Wales and Ireland with some showers developing in the afternoon. Dry in the west of Ireland and across Scotland with sunny spells and dry conditions. Temperatures at 23C in southern England, 15C in Scotland.
Friday 12/7/24 Low pressure drifts east of the country on Friday. Windy with some heavy periods of rain over much of eastern, central and southern England. Drier in western Wales and southwest England, some showers here. Scotland and Ireland will be dry and brighter with good spells of sunshine. Highs at 15 to 20C.
Saturday 13/7/24 Low pressure close to eastern coasts on Saturday. Cloud and rain here, some heavy. Brighter in western and southern areas. Drier in Ireland and southwest England with sunny intervals here. Highs at 16 to 21C.
Sunday 14/7/24 Low pressure dominates on Sunday over Ireland and the western British Isles. A mix of sunshine and showers here. Drier in eastern and central areas with more sunshine. Tops at 17 to 22C.
Monday 15/7/24 Low pressure dominates again on Monday. Rain and showers passing north and east, some of it heavy. Perhaps drier in the south. Highs at 15 to 23C.
Tuesday 16/6/24 Sunshine and showers on Tuesday. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times. Showers may merge to longer spells of rain in central and northern areas. Highs at 17 to 23C.
