Brighter spells and broken cloud in the west and through Ireland. Further rain this afternoon in eastern England and southeast Scotland where some of it could be heavy. Brighter again in western and southern areas of the country, mostly dry although a shower here and then in central England. Staying cloudy with some patchy rain north northern Scotland, Orkney and Shetland. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 20C in southern England and Ireland.
Tuesday Night Rain clears from eastern areas of the UK this evening. Then becoming dry overnight with clearer skies. Cloud increasing again in western Ireland and western Scotland later. Lows near 8 to 11C.
Wednesday A ridge of high pressure builds over the British Isles on Wednesday. This brings a fair day for many with sunny spells, the best in central and eastern areas. More cloud in Ireland and western Scotland, some periods of rain reaching western Scotland by late morning. This afternoon stays cloudy again in the west with some rain around western and southern coasts of Ireland, increasing low cloud and mist. A few spots of drizzle for western Scotland. Drier elsewhere, although some bright or sunny spells remain in central and eastern England. Highs at a muggy 18 to 24C.
Thursday Fronts affecting Scotland, Ireland and the west of Wales and England on Thursday. Periods of rain, most through Ireland, north and western Scotland, some of it heavy over western slopes. Cloudier western coasts of Wales and England with some drizzle here. Brighter in central and southern England although evening here there will be plenty of cloud. Cloud shrouding hills and coasts in the west too. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 19C in eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland, 14C in northwest Scotland.
