A reasonable week with sunny spells and several dry days, but some cloud and rain on a few days too, warm overall
A general trend to better weather conditions during the coming week. Higher pressure is likely to be building and this brings several drier days, although there will be some fronts breaking through too. By the weekend the high pressure may become stronger with more drier days and sunny spells. A warm week too.

Tuesday 23/7/24 The area of low pressure is off eastern England on Tuesday. A brisk northwest wind in the east where there will be a few showers too. Drier for other areas with some sunny spells and dry conditions. The best sunshine in the west. Staying fair for all into the afternoon although cloud increasing through Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 24C in the southeast, more widely 19 to 22C.
Wednesday 24/7/24 A ridge of high pressure building on Wednesday. This brings a mostly dry day with sunny spells and warm too. A weak front through Scotland and Ireland brings some patchy rain here, perhaps some drizzle and low cloud affecting western coasts and hills. Highs at 21 to 24C, nearer 18C in western Scotland and western Ireland.
Thursday 25/7/24 A more unsettled day may occur on Thursday as front pass east. Some heavy bursts of showery rain, especially over western coasts and slopes. Drier in the east at first, but rain arriving here too. Sunny spells and showers following to the west, a few showers here. Highs at 17 to 22C.
Friday 26/7/24 Rain may hold for a time through central, southern and eastern England. Sunny spells and dry north and west, a few showers on western coasts and hills. The rain should clear from the southeast later. Highs at 25C in southern England, 18C in the north and west.
Saturday 27/7/24 A ridge of high pressure over the country on Saturday. This brings sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers heaviest in Ireland and western Scotland. Dry for most other areas. Highs at 24C in the southeast, 14C in the northwest.
Sunday 28/7/24 Higher pressure remains on Sunday. A fair day with sunny spells and staying dry too. Highs at 20 to 27C.
