Morning Call - July 15, 2024
Thundery rain southwest
Becoming humid

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 14th July 2024
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Mostly dry north, but isolated heavy showers

Good morning,

Is there any sign of better summer weather this week? The answer is - not really, but it will feel warmer than recently for most places.

There's rain in the forecast again today, heavy and persistent in the southwest with a risk of local thunderstorms for southwest England and Wales. Rain extends into central areas then further north and east across England with time this afternoon.

Localised heavy showers are likely to bubble up over northern England and central Scotland this afternoon, again these may be thundery in places. Coastal districts in the north of Britain generally staying fine.

Today's top temperatures reaching 18 to 22C, feeling humid in the south despite rain arriving.

Have a great day.
Garry
