Saturday 3/8/24
Low pressure system centred northwest of Scotland. Gusty westerlies, breezy especially in Scotland - here rain frequent, particularly on the western coast. In central and southern England showers here and there, fading toward the evening. Wet also in Northern Ireland and on western Irish coast. Elsewhere bright and fresher with sunny spells and mostly dry conditions, a scattering of showers possible along the western coast. Even in wet areas clouds will break at times allowing some sunshine through. Temperatures at 16C (Scotland, Ireland, Wales) to 21C widely, to 25C in the southeast.

Sunday 4/8/24
The area of low pressure remains through Sunday. Wet for much of Ireland and western Scotland, with the rain slowly spreading eastward through the afternoon. Little to no sun in the northwest. England, Wales and much of eastern Scotland stay dry and often sunny. Strong winds in Ireland and Scotland. Highs at 14C in Ireland, 17 to 23 in Ireland, Wales and most of England, to 26C in East Anglia.

Monday 5/8/24
Low pressure remains northwest of Scotland on Monday. This is set to bring mixed weather with heavy rain affecting parts of Ireland and Scotland. Rain reaching south to Wales and northern England, possibly Midlands. Likely dry in the southeast. Still very windy around the Irish Sea. Highs at 17 to 25C.

Tuesday 6/8/24
The area of low pressure closes toward Scotland on Tuesday, making it yet another wet day in the north. In Ireland and England rain showers on and off, first very cloudy, perhaps becoming sunny later. Easing wind in England, still gusty in the west. Cooler for most with highs at 16 to 23C.

Wednesday 7/8/24
Low passing across Scotland together with a small front makes Wednesday wet in Scotland and Ireland, possibly affecting northern England. Most likely dry for Wales and for the south. Highs 16C in England and Wales to 20C in Ireland.
