Chilly but bright
Snow showers east

Frost and ice

Good morning,

It's another cold and frosty day ahead with many places starting several degrees below freezing this morning.

There's plenty of dry and bright weather with sunshine best in western regions. Broken cloud for central and eastern regions. Light winds for most, but a keen northeasterly breeze affects south and eastern coastal areas.

Showers pushing inland from the east coasts will fall as snow flurries inland for eastern districts, even to low elevations, possible soft hail too. Local wintry showers near to the west coast of Scotland too.

Today's top temperatures 1 to 4C for most, coldest in Scotland and northern England, some Highland glens staying sub-zero. Slightly higher near to coasts in southwest England and Wales, locally up to 7C here.

Have a great day.
Garry
