Cold, snow showers in the east, rain in the far south, dry and bright for most
Cold this morning with an early frost for many. Cloud and a strong easterly wind affecting he far south of England, some rain in the far southwest which will be falling as snow over the Moors. An area of wintry showers in northern and eastern Scotland as well as along eastern coasts of England. Dry and bright elsewhere with sunny spells, but cold.
This afternoon sees the risk of a few flakes of snow over the hills of southwest England, cloudy along the south coast too and feeling very cold in the wind. Some snow showers in northeast Scotland and northeast England close to the coast. For other areas it stays dry and bright but is cold again.
Further wintry showers on the coasts of eastern England and eastern Scotland tonight. Broken cloud for other areas and frost becomes widespread. There is a threat of some fog by morning, this freezing in places.
