Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 22nd November 2023
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain and wind in northern Scotland, drizzle for western coasts, fair for most other areas

A cloudy morning for most of the country. Fronts will be bringing some drizzle to the hills of northern England and Scotland, more persistent rain in northern and northwest Scotland and perhaps something weter over the Southern Uplands too. Mist and murk affecting western coasts and hills.

This afternoon sees a few more bright spells developing in more central and southern areas. Further rain in central and northern Scotland, windy here as well. Breezy for northeast England. Drier in more southern areas, although some cloud and a few spots of rain affecting western hills.

Tonight brings more rain to northwest Scotland, drier in the east. Some clearer skies in other areas too and generally dry.
