More rain arrives tonight

Good morning,

It's a relatively quiet start to the week following the two named storms which moved across Britain and Ireland over the weekend. But there is more wind and rain on the way by tonight and into Tuesday.

For Monday, a few showers affect northwest England and Wales in the morning but will fade. Showers in northeast Scotland with snow on the Cairngorms to quite modest elevations.

Brisk winds over central and southeast England will slowly ease. Bright spells with some sunshine in these areas during the day.
