Issued: 0530hrs Monday 9th October 2023 Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus
Rain in north. Dry & warm still in south and southeast
High pressure ridges in across much of the country on Monday, though there is a weak front lying across southern Scotland into northern England and some eastern English counties. This will bring more cloud here and some patchy rain and or drizzle, though some places could see more persistent rain.
Elsewhere will be dry with developing sunny spells and again pleasantly warm. More persistent rain is expected to push into western then northern parts of Scotland later in the day.
Overnight, most will stay dry, though more cloud about further north with some showers on to northern and western areas of Scotland and northwest England, persistent rain across the Northern Isles. Windy here too.
