Many dry, but rain moving in from southwest later.
Spells of rain continue to affect many eastern regions of Scotland being pulled in on a persistent easterly wind flow. Elsewhere is largely dry with sunny spells, though showery rain towards the west and far south.
As the day progresses spells of rain along with a strengthening wind will move in across southwest England, Wales, falling heavy at times. Highs of 10 to 15C.
Rain continues to push northwards into central England during the evening before clearing here and moving into northern England and Northern Ireland overnight. Meanwhile, a brisk easterly wind will continue to bring spells of rain to many eastern into central regions of Scotland.
