Milder and unsettled, severe gales and heavy rain on some days

Milder weather will be arriving to all areas this week, although it may take a few days to reach all. It is going to be increasingly windy and wet too with a risk of severe gales. There is a flooding risk on Thursday although details are unclear at the present time.

Thursday 7/12/23
Pressure stays low on Thursday bringing another unsettled day with strong winds and periods of rain. The morning is likely to be wet for England, Wales and Ireland, a few drier slots in Scotland. The rain may become heavier through the morning and afternoon , thundery too. Possibly drier in western Wales and southwest England with some sunny spells here. Windy for all. A milder day with tops at 6 to 12C.

Friday 8/12/23
Another area of low pressure over Ireland on Friday. Heavy showers merging to longer spells of rai oin many areas. Breezy too. Least showers in northern Scotland and East Anglia. The showers thundery in the west. Highs at 8 to 10C.



 
 
 

Saturday 9/12/23
More rain on Saturday as fronts pass from west to east. Rain may be heavy bat times and it will be breezy. Turning drier in western areas later although still with some drizzle. Highs at 8 to 14C.



 
 
 

Sunday 10/12/23
Further rain passing north and east on Sunday. The rain could be heavy in England, Wales and Ireland as well as southern Scotland. Probably drier in northern Scotland. Tops at 7 to 12C.

Monday 11/12/23
Low pressure west of Scotland on Monday. Heavy showers for Wales, western and central Scotland, Ireland and western England. Fewer showers and some brighter spells for eastern areas of England. Highs near 8 to 11C.

Tuesday 12/12/23
Low pressure is to the north of Scotland on Tuesday. A west to southwest flow will be bringing showers, some of them heavy north and west but fewer in the east and south. Highs at 7 to 11C.
