Cloud and outbreaks of rain in central and eastern areas of England and part of eastern Wales. Fair for Scotland and Ireland with good spells of sunshine here. Some showers in the southwest but mostly dry with sunny spells. The rain clearing eastwards through the morning allowing for sunny spells for most areas. Increasing cloud in western Ireland later. Highs at 3C in northern Scotland, 5C in central and southern areas of England, 8C in the far southwest and 5C in Ireland.

Clear skies tonight in many parts of England, Wales and Scotland. A widespread frost developing, severe in parts of northern England and Scotland. Increasing cloud in Wales and southwest England later. Ireland will be cloudy with periods of rain and winds increasing too. Lows at -8C in central Scotland, 4C in southern England, 9C in Ireland.

Low pressure west of Ireland giving heavy periods of rain here as well as gale force winds. The rain arrives in western Wales and southwest England with low cloud shrouding hills here. A chilly day in much of the rest of England, Wales and Scotland with a morning frost lifting to leave some bright or sunny spells, the best in the east. The rain and strong winds slipping into the west of England, Wales and Scotland this afternoon, gales in the west. Staying drier and chillier in central and eastern areas with some sunny spells in East Anglia. Highs at 3 to 6C, but 9C in southwest England and 11C in Ireland.

Pressure stays low on Thursday bringing another unsettled day with strong winds and periods of rain. The morning is likely to be wet for England, Wales and Ireland, a few drier slots in Scotland. The rain may become heavier through the morning and afternoon , thundery too. Possibly drier in western Wales and southwest England with some sunny spells here. Windy for all. A milder day with tops at 6 to 12C.
