Monday 31/10/16
High pressure to the south-east and also over the north Atlantic. A front encroaches into Scotland & Northern Ireland bringing some persistent rain. Dry and mild for England & Wales, fog patches in the morning, locally dense and persistent for many hours, but hazy sun breaking through. Light winds for most, but a brisk easterly breeze affects the south coast. Daytime highs 13 to 17C, and staying mild into Halloween evening.

Tuesday 01/11/16
A weakening cold front sinks slowly south across the country. A band of cloud and a few showers, mainly eastern areas. Showers may be frequent in northern Scotland, occasionally heavy with hail, and turning wintry over the Highlands. Sunny spells, best in west & south-western areas. Some early fog patches. A brisk north-westerly wind, strongest in the north. Temperatures up to 16C in the south, but only 11C in northern regions.

Wednesday 02/11/16
Cooler air will have spread to all of the British Isles. High pressure to the west and low pressure over the Baltic brings a chilly northerly breeze, strongest in the east. Broken cloud and sunshine, best in west & central regions. Showers likely along North Sea coasts, also in northern Scotland, again wintry over the mountains. Risk of frost in the morning in sheltered locations. Temperatures just 9 or 10C north, 12C south.

Thursday 03/11/16
Feeling chilly for all areas. High pressure is likely to topple back across the country from the west, bringing dry weather to most places. Fog patches in the morning, locally slow to clear. Frost for many - rural areas in the north & west likely to dip below freezing. Sunny spells by day. Scattered showers near the east coast. Some rain may return to north-west Scotland later. Highs 8 to 11C.

Friday 04/11/16
Staying cool and dry for many. High pressure centred toward the south. Fog patches in the morning. Showery rain in the north-west, plus a freshening breeze here. Sunny spells. A frosty start for many, dawn temperatures close to freezing, or just below zero in rural areas. Daytime highs 8 to 12C.

Saturday 05/11/16
Another largely dry and bright day is likely, a good amount of sunshine, although cloud may thicken in the north-west, bringing occasional showers. Fog and frost in the morning. Temperatures 9 to 13C.
