Rain in NW

A strong cell of high pressure will be building in across the country as it turns milder and we lose that cold easterly wind and temperatures rise to above their seasonal norms. Fronts will bring some rain in to the far north west from time to time but for most places we're expecting a dry week. There are hints that it may turn cold during the week.

Wednesday 26/10/16
Quite breezy and milder on Wednesday with some light rain across western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it stays dry with some sunshine in the south. Rain lingers across the north west in the night. Expect high temperatures of 12 to 16C.

Thursday 27/10/16
Not much change today with above normal temperatures expected. Rather windy across northern Britain and still outbreaks of rain to affect western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wales and central and southern parts of England look dry with sunny spells. Highs of 13 to 17C.
 

Friday 28/10/16
It remains windy in the north as rain persists across northern Scotland. Fair and dry across England and Wales with sunny spells. Feeling pleasantly warm. Fog patches may develop in the south overnight. Highs of 12 to 17C.

 
 
 

Saturday 29/10/16
Lots of fine, dry weather to come and staying mild across England and Wales. Any morning fog clears the south, otherwise expect a dry day with long sunny spells. Again more cloudy across Scotland with rain in the north west and Northern Ireland. Highs of 11 to 18C.
 

Sunday 30/10/16
Today may see that band of rain in the north pushing south into England and Wales but confidence is low. North west winds develop as it turns cooler in the north. Highs of 9 to 17C.

Monday 31/10/16
A colder day in store for the country, particularly around eastern coasts with a brisk north wind to prevail. Here there is a risk of a few showers. Most areas should be dry with sunny spells. Expect highs of 7 to 12C.
