Friday A few showers over north Scotland, otherwise it will be a generally dry day with some sunny spells. Cloud will become thicker in the evening over southern England with outbreaks of rain over southern coasts overnight into Saturday. Breezy with strong winds in exposure. Temperatures will rise to around 6-7C in north and 9-10C in south.
Friday Night Cloud thickening up across southern England and southern Ireland with outbreaks of rain moving slowly north, reaching Wales by the early hours of Saturday. Some frost is expected over Scotland overnight. Minimum temperatures of 3-4C in north, but the 7-8C in south.
Saturday An approaching low pressure system to the southwest of the British Isles will give a cloudier day for most, even though some spells of brightness cannot be excluded. Through the day, outbreaks of rain will spread north, this mostly light and patchy. Rain may become more heavy later in the afternoon over southern coast of Ireland as well as southwest England and Wales. Afternoon temperatures at 12-13C over southern parts, but 8-9C elsewhere.
Sunday Another cloudy day with the easterly wind pushing some light rain or drizzle, with patchy snow over the Highlands. Further west it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, this clearing through the evening. Tops of 6-8C in north, and 10-12C in south. Patchy frost over Scotland overnight.
