John : Sunshine and showers this afternoon, showers frequent and often heavy in clusters across Wales with some of these of hail and snow and SW England at present moving into Cumbria through the afternoon, elsewhere scattered showers through the afternoon for midlands, showers now clearing off Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coasts, temperature generally now steady around 10C. Showers now running into Dumfries, Boarders and Tayside will continue for a while temperatures 8C. Shower will fade and generally clear through the evening over the midlands leaving showers for a time along sw coasts. Dry and clear overnight with a widespread ground and patchy air frost for inland Scotland, temperatures near or just above 0C. Elsewhere patchy ground and air frost later in Shropshire, Cheshire, Northants to Yorkshire temperatures 1 to 3C.
