Sunday A cool and breezy start to Sunday morning. Good spells of sunshine for many although a few showers over northern and eastern coasts. Cloudier skies in western Ireland with some outbreaks of rain here. The rain turns heavier across western Ireland this afternoon although other areas are going to be staying dry with sunny spells. Winds will become light with temperatures at 7 to 11C.
Sunday Night Starting dry for most of the UK on Sunday night. Rain across Ireland reaching western Wales and southwest England by midnight. The rain then crosses the rest of Ireland, Wales and southwest England as well as the Midlands by morning. A few showers in northeast Scotland, otherwise dry. A touch of frost with lows at 0 to 3C, but nearer 7C ove western coasts and Ireland.
Monday Low pressure over southern Ireland on Monday. Fronts associated with the low bringing cloud and rain to much of Ireland, Wales and western England as well as a strong southeast wind. The rain moves into southern Scotland in the afternoon. Northern Scotland will be cool and brighter with a few showers, these wintry on hills. Drier in central and eastern England for a while, but rain into the Midlands in the afternoon. Highs at 5C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.
Tuesday Low pressure over the British Isles on Tuesday, centred to the south of Ireland. Rain affecting much of Ireland, southern Wales and southern England. A further areas of cloud and periods of rain through central and eastern Scotland. The rain may fall as snow on hills. Heavy showers in northern Scotland. Eastern coasts of England will have a tendency towards ore cloud throughout the day the best brighter and drier weather in northwest England and the Midlands as well as Northern Ireland. A moderate to fresh east wind. A chilly day for many with highs at 4C in northern Scotland, 10C in southern England.
