Rather cloudy and mild through much of England, Wales and southern Ireland. ow cloud and drizzle affecting southwestern coasts and hills. Some brighter skies in the east. Thicker cloud in Scotland and northern parts of Ireland as well as northern England. Rain affecting Scotland too, heavy in the west and windy here. This afternoon sees the rain drifting into northern and western Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland. Turning cooler and drier as well as brighter in northern Scotland. Remaining windy in northern areas, lighter winds in the south. Highs near 10 to 15C.


Thursday Night
A band of rain slipping south through northern England, central and southern Ireland overnight, the rain band crossing Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and southwest England through the early hours. Windy with showers in northern and western Scotland, drier and brighter in the east. Lows near 4 to 7C.
 


Friday
A cold front clears southeast England early on Friday taking some showery rain with it. Stronger winds and heavy showers in northern and western Scotland as well as Ireland. The showers wintry over the hills of Scotland too. For most it will be bright and dry with good spells of sunshine, the best in central and eastern areas. Highs at 6 to 9C.
 


Saturday
Low pressure northeast of Scotland on Saturday with a gale force north to northwest wind affecting the whole of the British Isles. Heavy showers and a risk of thunder. The showers wintry over hills of Scotland and northern England. The showers could merge to longer spells of rain at times. Highs at 6 to 9C and feeling cold in the wind.
