Rain passing south, some heavy in the west, turning colder in Scotland with snow showers in the north

Wet in Ireland and northern England, some of the rain heavy in western areas. Windy and drier for much of the rest of England and eastern Wales, although rain in western Wales. Colder in Scotland, snow showers in the north and feeling cold here too.

The rain slipping south through northern England, Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia. This rain turning heavy in Ireland and later in southwest England. Windy again with a risk of gales, cloud and outbreaks of rain for most other areas. Staying colder in Scotland and Northern Ireland with sunny spells, further snow showers in the north.

The rain slips south into southern Wales and southern England tonight. Again some of this may be heavy although should fade towards morning. Drier north of the rain band as it clears. Some wintry showers in northern and eastern Scotland. A frost for many other areas, severe in Scotland.
