Sunshine and scattered showers for Scotland, showers being a mix of rain and snow, snow mostly Highland to Tayside and into Northern Isles with a fresh northwest wind, 2 to 4C here. Remainder of southern Scotland into England and Wales, patch frost at first clearing by mid-morning, with a mainly dry day to follow, with sunny spells and variable cloud cold(er) than of late 5C early to mid-afternoon, scattered showers likely form Nortumbria to Norfolk with a fresh northeast wind. Deven and Cornwall though Wiltshire to Sussex and Kent cloudy to start with rain, most prolonged in southwest clearing by mid-morning with sunny spells and variable cloud to follow contiuing mild 8 to 10C , fresh northeast wind. Showers continuing into the eveing though decreasing across western Scotland, becoming cloudy across Wales with outbreaks of rain overnight. Elsewhere for midlands northeastwards dry and fine overnight, frost for Cumbria to Yorkshire 2C elswhere. Cloudy for all of southern, mildands and northern England Thursday with rain for southwest, snow Wales and northern England
