Becoming wetter in Ireland, England and Wales, showers n western Scotland

A cloudy, damp start to the day with lots of mist and murk around. Fog over hills, especially England and Wales. More persistent rain in southern England, Northern Ireland and Wales. Drier in Scotland and cloudy, some patchy rain in the far north.

This afternoon stays wet through southern Ireland and southern England. A further band of cloud and rain through central and southern Scotland. Drier in the far north of Scotland. Cloudy and mild for other areas, some drizzly outbreaks too.

Tonight stays coudy and damp. Most rain in western and southern areas again. Some drier areas but cloud and drizzle with hill fog. Remaining mild for all.
