A cloudy and windy day, rain will be prolonged and often heavy across most of England and Wales through the morning, temperatures 6C in Scotland to 8C for England and Wales through the morning with a fresh south to southwest wind, gales are likely for Devon and Cornwall and Dyfed. Rain will persist into the afternoon across the midlands and eastern and southwest England, whilst there wil be sunshine and showers for Scotland and Wales during the afternoon, temperature will fall through the afternon to steady 5C with a fresh west to northwest wind. For Northumbria to Lincolnshire rain will clear through the evening with only scatttered showers contnuing for Scotland and int Cumbria. Remaining cloudy overnight for midlands, southwest, central south, southeast and eastern England with further prolonged periods of rain temperatures 4C. Remaining scattered showers clearing overnight with a frost across Scotland and a patchy frost for England.
