Saturday 24th February Rather cloudy to start across Western Isles of Scotland, south Wales, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and fringing Kent with showers or longer spells of rain, these clearing by mid-morning. Remainder of Scotland overnight frost for central and eastern areas will clear by mid-morning with a sunny start. For Yorkshine across midlands to Dorset dry and sunny start with patchy frost clearing mid-morning. The remainder of the day for most will remain generally dry with spells of sunshine, becoming rather cloudy with scattered showers likely, some of these heavy across south Wales,Devon and Cornwall, south midlands to Hampshire, across to Norfolk to Kent during the afternoon clearing through to evening. Temperatures generally 5 to 7C during the afternoon. Winds remainig light and variable. Through the evening showers across Kent will tend to clear with variable cloud remaing for a time. Elsewhere for England, Wales and Scotland dry during the evening and early night with patchy cloud remaining, temperatures quickly falling to below 0C across much of Scotland during the eveing with a widespread ground frost and later as temperatires fall to -4 in central Highland a widespread air frost. For Cumbria, Cheshire across to Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk and eastern midlands patchy ground frost at first with air forst tofollow temperatire 0 to -2C. Remainder of Wales and England dry with patchy frost where skies remain clear 2C to -2C.
