A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain mostly in west.

High pressure builds over the the British Isles with mostly dry conditions over England and Wales as well as the Republic of Ireland. Some sunny spells in the morning over England. A few showers over Scotland to start with, but thicker cloud will spread east in the afternoon with outbreaks of rain, this possibly heavy over Sutherland and Caithness. Some light and patchy rain over Northern Ireland too. Light west-northwest wind, becoming fresh southwest through the afternoon. Temperatures will rise up to 7C in north but 9C In south.

It will be a cloudy evening for most with outbreaks of rain over Scotland, this heavy for a time in north. However rain will clear overnight with a mostly dry night for all. It will be breezy overnight keeping the temperatures at 9C in north. Southern parts of England will see lighter winds and possibly clear spells allowing the temperatures to drop to around 2C.
