A bright day for most with some sunny spells and a few morning showers, these developing more widely in the afternoon. Again there is a risk of heavy and thundery showers over Ireland and Northwest England. A longer spell of rain is possible in the morning over Southeast England. Winds will be lighter than of late with temperatures in the afternoon rising to around 10C in north and 14C in south. Frost overnight over Scotland away from the coast.

Even though there will be some sunny spells in north in the morning, soon cloud will spread over most areas along with outbreaks of generally light rain, this mostly over England, Wales and Southern Ireland. Scotland will remain mostly dry apart from a few coastal showers in the north. East-southeast winds with maximum temperatures at 10C in north and 14C in south.

Monday 01/04/2024
An area of low pressure will arrive over the southern parts of England in the morning, slowly moving northeast. This will give generally cloudy conditions along with some rain in far southeast, but elsewhere it will remain mostly dry. Best of the condition over Scotland with long sunny periods. Windy in southeast, otherwise light winds. Maximum temperatures at 8C in north and 12C in south.

Tuesday 02/04/2024
A mostly dry and bright start to the day with plenty of sunny spells. Thicker cloud will soon arrive over Ireland with outbreaks of rain and strengthening winds. This is expected to slowly move north-northeast through the evening. Temperatures in the afternoon at around 9C in north, but 12C in south.


 

Wednesday 03/04/2024
Low pressure system tracks northeast over the British Isles and will give cloudy skies for all with outbreaks of rain, this more heavy over Ireland, western Scotland and northwest England. It will be windy too, with maximum temperatures at 10C in north, but 15C in south.


 

Thursday 04/04/2024
Any remaining rain from north and east will clear through the morning, with showers following for Scotland, these wintry over high ground. Elsewhere mostly dry with sunny periods. Easing winds, with maximums of 9C in north, and 12C in south.
