A drier week although still some outbreaks of rain and feeling cool in nthe breeze

A drier week ahead as winds become more southeasterly. There will be some rain at times, most over eastern and southern coasts and hills. It is going to be feeling cool in the breeze, especially in the east.

Thursday 7/3/24
Broken cloud and sunny spells on Thursday as the flow turns more southeasterly. There may be some cloud in eastern areas but this breaks. Further cloud in Ireland and southwest England, but again this will be broken. It is likely to be staying similar into the afternoon with dry conditions and sunny spells. Temperatures reaching 8 to 11C.


 

Friday 8/3/24
High pressure over Scandinavia on Friday with low pressure west of Ireland. A southeasterly flow affects the country bringing mostly fair conditions. Some cloud in the east with a risk of a few spots of drizzle on coasts. Best sunshine in the west. Highs at 7 to 11C.


 

Saturday 9/3/24
Low pressure in the Bay of Biscay today. Breezy with cloud and some spots of rain in eastern and southern areas. Drier in much of Scotland although cloudier skies in the east. Highs at a cooler 6 to 8C, but 10C in the south.



 
 
 

Sunday 10/3/24
Low pressure over France on Sunday with high pressur north of Scotland. An east to northeast flow affects all areas. Some cloud and a few spots of rain in the east/ More persistent rain may affect southern areas of England, although most of it light. Drier and brighter in western areas but feeling chilly. Highs at 6 to 10C.


 

Monday 11/3/24
A slack pressure flow is likely to be affecting the country through Monday. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain in northern and eastern Scotland with further cloud and a few spots over eastern coasts. Further cloud and some rain in western Scotland. Other areas may start the day misty, then becoming dry with some sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 10C.

Tuesday 12/3/24
A more unsettled day is likely on Tuesday. Some wind, rain and cloud in western areas, but probably drier in the east. Confidence is very low. Highs at 6 to 10C.
