Cloudy to start across southern and central Scotland with rain and snow becoming prolonged and heavy through the morning into Aryshire, Stirling, Fife to Aberdeenshire and later across most of Highland, temperatures 0C to 4C as rain eases from the southwest into the afternoon. Also cloudy with outbreaks of rain for much of England and Wales with rain prolonged and often heavy into Gwynedd and Clwyd into Lancashire and Cumbria through the morning, with cloud breaking and rain easing during the afternoon with sunshine and scattered showers temperatures 13 to 15C, likely 16C for Cheshire and Yorkshire with a fresh SW wind. A mainly dry and sunny evening to come with showers fading. Rain will also have cleared from Scotland by evening. Becoming increasingly cloudy into Cornwall and Devon through the evening with further rain overnight.

Saturday 06/04/2024
Overnight and then early morning rain will have moved into Scotland and N.Ireland and will persist through the morning, though continuing to move north and eastwards becoming slow moving and heavy across Highland and the Northern Isles. Temperature around 5C with a fresh east wind veering SW when rain clears. For England and Wales rain through the morning will clear to sunshine and showers during the afternoon becoming scattered across Dyfed to Herefordshire, Worcestershire to Hampshire and later into Cumbria, temperatures 12 to 14C generally locally through Cheshire, Leicestershire to Norfolk and into Lincolnshire 16C with any prolonged sunshine, winds fresh SW Showers will ease during the evening with late sunshine and a clear night to follow, further outbreaks of rain likely across Wales and SW England into the later evening and early night.

Cloudy for most of western Scotland into the morning with outbreaks of patch rain during the morning, patchy rain also from Shropshire across Lancashire to Yorkshire and fringing Northumberland will persist during the morning, clearing by afternoon with broken cloud and sunshine, though scattered showers are likely into Dyfed, Wiltshire to Berkshire during the afternoon, temperature 14C for most, maybe 16 to 17C Hertfordshire and Esses to Kent. Patchy and variable cloud for most overnight with ground frost central Scotland at 1C, mainly 5 to 7C elsewhere.

Monday 08/04/2024
A generally dry and sunny start for most, though with patchy cloud for a time to start, with mist/fog prevelant Shropshire to Cheshire whihc may be slow to clear for a time during the morning. Eslewhere dry with sunshine though cloud soon developing during the morning. Cloud quickly increasing during the morning into Cornwall, Devon to Dorset, Dyfed to Glamorgan with rain becomining prolnged and heavy during the afternoon, rain moving northeastwards across all of Wales, southern and southeast England, into the midlands by evening and northern England later evening. Ran becoming persistent overnight acorss Scotland being slow to clear the northeast. Daytime temperatures 12 to 14 generally locally 16 to 18C Bedfordshire to Lincolnshire, 8-10C for Scotland

Tuesday 09/04/2024
Overnight and now into the morning rain will be slow to clear across northeast Highland and later the Northern Isles, Further rain moving into Wales and across into Antrim to Dumfries and Cumbria, bands of rain and showers later affecting Dorset to Oxfordshire and Bedforshire, with frequent blustery showers devloping widely during the afternoon elsewhere, temperatures 8 to 10C with a fresh SW wind and gales likely for Channel coasts and headlands. Showers, often merging to give longer spells of rain continuing for Dyfed to Dorset, from Hampshire to Norfolk into the eveing and early night.

For Scotland a mix of sunshine and showers, England and Wales prolonged and often hevy rain for most of the day, with the heavy(iest) rain for Gwynedd and Clwyd into Cumbria, across into Yorkshire and later Northumberland being slow to clear North Sea coasts into the evening, most areas becoming dry with variable cloud overnight.
