Alexi: Good morning and happy Sunday. It is another mostly dry day ahead with some good sunshine about. Watch out for any morning mist and fog patches, these should burn off in the sun as the day progresses.

Claire: Patchy outbreaks of rain affect parts of England and Wales today. To the northwest, it's a bright and breezy day with blustery showers for parts of Scotland and Ireland while to the southeast it's mostly dry with some cloud. A mild day across the board, very mild to the southeast.

Claire: A windy one last night for northwestern areas with gusts of 60mph recorded at Stornoway. Widespread windy conditions are expected through the first part of this week but the strongest winds gradually become confined to northwestern and northern parts of Scotland later.

Claire: A much milder air mass is making its way into Ireland & the southwest UK with temperatures widely in the double digits across the Republic of Ireland this morning.

Claire: Strong winds taking the edge off these temperatures with coastal gales across the region. Peak gusts recorded across the British Isles so far include: 68mph at St Bees Head, 67mph at Mace Head, 66mph on Tiree, 58mph at Vally and 57mph at Ballypatrick.
