Rain, sleet and snow for the southwest and Wales. Drier but mostly cloudy elsewhere.

A frosty start to the day for most. Cloud will continue to thicken across the country while rain moves in across Ireland, southwest England and southwest Wales. Sleet and snow is likely but mainly across higher ground. Elsewhere, it will be dry although snow showers look to affect northern Scotland.

A similar scene continues through the afternoon. Mainly cloudy skies remain although some sunny spells could develop across northern Scotland. Rain, sleet and snow affecting much of Ireland, Wales, southwest England could push into central southern areas of England later on.

Overnight, it will continue to be wet across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, central southern and southwest England. Snow will fall over the higher ground here. Rain will eventually reach towards London and western areas of the southeast corner later on in the night. Staying largely dry elsewhere, clear skies to the north but cloudier skies elsewhere. Possible snow showers for north and northeast Scotland.
