Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Snow showers in the east, cold for all, good spells of sunshine in the east

Another cold day for all. There will be some snow showers affecting eastern Scotland and North East England, with some snow flurries across central and eastern parts of England as well. These are likely to be concentrated across East Anglia the East Midlands and Southeast England. Dryer in western areas with some bright or sunny spells here.

This afternoon sees snow showers again affecting eastern coast. It will be drier in the west of the UK and across Ireland to. The best of any sunshine in western and northern Scotland. Feeling cold for all in the northeast breeze.

Tonight brings a scattering of snow showers in eastern areas again. Most places stay dry with a widespread, severe frost developing. A few snow showers later over southern coasts of Devon and Cornwall as well as southwest Ireland.
