Still largely very cold with frost and ice. Some snow, sleet and rain in the west.
In the morning, there will be widespread ice and frost. It will become increasingly cloudy from the west. Snow initially then rain across Ireland, snow for Northern Ireland and the far southwest of Scotland, west Wales and the southwest of England. Drier elsewhere. Best of any sunshine until around lunchtime across the far southeast. Feeling very cold for most still.
In the afternoon, the snow will become patchy and sporatic as it pushes across western into central areas of the UK, largely clearing from Ireland and Northern Ireland. Eastern regions as well as northern Scotland should remain largely dry but cloudy. Temperatures will struggle again to reach above zero for many, particularly away from the sun.
A largely dry but cloudy and cold night is expected. Some snow showers will continue to affect central and southern Scotland as well some western areas of England and Wales though. More rain, sleet and snow to push in to the far west through the early hours. A windy night and milder for Northern Ireland, west Wales and much of the southwest of England. Still cold with minimums below freezing elsewhere and well below freezing still across Scotland and northern England.
