Snow in Scotland, some significant accumulations, milder, wetter for many

Snow this morning across the far north of England as well as central and southern Scotland. Most snow on hills but there will be some at low levels too. Significant accumulations are possible. The snow turns to rain in northern England through the morning with heavy rain for most other areas. Showers in western Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland.

More snow this afternoon over central and eastern Scotland. Rain in southern Scotland, some snow on hills. Further periods of rain in northern England as heavier periods of rain reach western England and Wales. Showers in central and southern England. Turning wetter in Ireland too. Mild in the south, cold in Scotland.

The snow continues with further accumulations in central and eastern Scotland. Rain in the far north of England as wel as northern and western Ireland continue. Some spots of rain in southern England. Drier for other areas.
