Fine for much of central and southern Europe, rain and windy in Scandinavia
Tuesday High pressure continues to reside over western Europe bringing lots of warm sunshine to Spain, Portugal and France. Very warm, topping 30C in places, locally into the mid-30s in southwestern Iberia. Lots of sunshine through the western Mediterranean and Italy too. Risk of showers toward the far south of Italy. Thundery downpours for southern Greece and much of Turkey. A cold front passes eastwards across central-eastern Europe. Rain clearing from Germany to leave sunny spells. A few showers for Czechia and Austria. A spell of rain for Poland and Slovakia. Mostly dry for the Balkan states and toward the Black Sea. Low pressure over Scandinavia brings cool and windy conditions. Rain then showers for the Baltic states and Finland. Frequent showery rain for Norway, but drier and brighter for Sweden and Denmark, just passing showers.
Wednesday Cloudier conditions over southern Spain and Portugal, with fairer weather to the north. France, Italy and Greece will be dry with plenty of sunshine and warm conditions. Switzerland, southern France, Austria and Germany will be cloudier with some drizzle, and heavier prolonged showers to the north of Germany, Demark, and the Netherlands. Poland will remain sunny with windier conditions to the north. Rain over Ukraine and Belarus, followed by some showers and drizzle throughout the day, with heavier rain across the Baltic States. Windy over Finland, with some showers and drizzle, alongside cloudy conditions, particularly in the north. Fairer conditions in Sweden with some sunny spells. Very light drizzle and cloudy skies over the north-western coast of Norway. Brighter skies and sunnier spells further to the south of the country.
