Getting drier and milder later in the week after early rain and cold

Staying mixed through this week with some cloud and outbreaks of rain. A tendency for conditions to become drier and warmer later in the week with some sunshine developing.

Wednesday 1/5/24
Low pressure southwest of Ireland on Wednesday. A front over southern Ireland and southern England bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain over southern areas. More cloud and some drizzle in eastern areas of the country. Drier and brighter in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 12C in wales and southwest England, 14C in Ireland and 19C in eastern England.

Thursday 2/5/24
Pressure is low again on Thursday. Rain passing from east to west with eastern areas probably turning drier during the day. Bright and mostly dry in Scotland, best sunshine in the west. Highs at 9C in the rain in western and southern areas, 17C in the sunshine in the east.


 

Friday 3/5/24
A more easterly flow on Friday with some outbreaks of rain passing from east to west. Probably becoming brighter and drier in the east as the day progresses. Tops at 12 to 15C.

A brighter day is likely on Saturday. Light and variable winds. Some good sunny spells and feeling warmer too. Highs at 12 to 16C.



 
 
 

Sunday 5/5/24
Higher pressure is over the British Isles on Sunday. There nay be some cloud and a few spots of rain in the west but overall the day should be dry and bright with plenty of sunshine. Highs at 14 to 18C.

Monday 6/5/24
High pressure remains on Monday bringing a fair day for many with well broken cloud and sunny spells. Fronts west of Ireland could give cloud and some rain here. Highs at 14 to 19C.
