Mixed and cooler conditions coming in

Weather turns more mixed and at times unsettled for some as low pressure dominates the scene through the forecast period. Expect rain and showers with strengthened winds for some. Cooler

Wednesday 28/7/21
Wednesday looks to be unsettled for many as rain pushes in from the west with heavy spells in the north and west. Winds will also strengthen from the southwest in the south and along coasts. A cooler day with highs at 15 to 21C.

 
 
 

Thursday 29/7/21
Thursday will see rain at times for some, heavy in places, but perhaps more drier periods about compared to Wednesday, particularly in the north and east. A brisk wind becomes more northerly keeping temperatures down again. Highs at 15 to 20C.

 
 
 

Friday 30/7/21
A cool north to northwesterly flow continues on Friday with showers affecting mainly northern and western coasts and hills, but to also expect some southern English counties to see spells of rain. Many places staying dry with sunny spells. Highs at 16 to 23C for most but cooler across northwest Scotland.

Saturday 31/7/21
A slacker pressure gradient for Saturday. There will be plenty of dry periods but also some showers about too, these mainly towards coasts. In the afternoon a new Atlantic low pressure system looks to push in towards Ireland and then Wales, bringing cloudier skies here and spells of rain. Highs at 17 to 24C for most, although cooler still across northwest Scotland.

Sunday 01/8/21
A slackened pressure gradient on Sunday. This will bring a day of sunny spells but also some showers about, possibly heavy in places. Still a cool northerly flow continues. Highs at 18 to 23C across southern areas but between 14 and 18C in the north.

Monday 02/8/21
Higher pressure from the Atlantic attempts to ridge in more allowing for a largely dry and fine day for many areas, however, a few scattered showers cannot be completely ruled out. Highs at 18 to 24C in the south but cooler in the north with highs here at 14 to 19C.
