Sunshine and warmth continues for many but also some showers about. Rain for some come Friday with a mixed weekend ahead.
High pressure and mostly dry weather sticks around through much of next week, before a potentially lively breakdown expected on Friday. Staying mixed into the weekend but it will remain relatively warm and muggy. Conditions improving early in the new week.

High pressure remains across the country still on Wednesday. Plenty of dry and fine conditions about, although cloud looks to thicken across Ireland, southwest England and parts of Wales later where a few showers could also develop. Highs at 19 to 29C.
Cloud becoming widespread across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and western parts of England with some showery rain about. Drier and brighter across Scotland and for many eastern parts of England. Highs at a muggy 19 to 28C.
With low pressure moving in on Friday, expect outbreaks of rain to push northwards across England and Wales, some heavy and perhaps thundery. Ireland and Northern Ireland will see variable cloud cover and some sunny spells but also showery rain affecting parts. Drier and brighter across Scotland, although the odd shower particularly further west, cannot be ruled out. Feeling muggy once again with highs 17 to 26C.
Staying rather mixed to unsettled for many as we head into Saturday with outbreaks of rain, some heavy and perhaps thundery, and largely cloudy skies across England, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland, however, Scotland looks to remain largely dry with some sunny spells about. Highs at 19 to 26C for many, cooler within the cloud and rain further south.
Low pressure remains the dominating weather feature for much of the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This will continue to bring cloudier skies and outbreaks of rain at times, but with some drier periods as well as developing sunny spells developing. Rain could be heavy and thundery in places. Much of Scotland, once again, looks to remain largely dry at this stage. Highs at a muggy 20 to 26C.
Low pressure pushes east, allowing for improving conditions on Monday. Drier and brighter weather looks to come about from the west, although eastern areas of England may just see cloudier skies and some rainfall at times throughout the day still. Highs at 20 to 27C.
